Summer Garden Magic

There’s nothing more magical than an English summer. Maybe it’s because the summer days are sometimes few and far between, but when they arrive the garden is the most used and loved area of the home. Make the most of summer days enjoying the scent of a freshly mowed lawn and roses drifting on a summer breeze. Create a magical space for you to relax on a warm evening or entertain during a beautiful summer afternoon.

First, decide on your favourite spot in the garden, the one that receives the most sunlight for the longest time, perhaps an area with just a little shade too. Arrange your garden furniture in a social manner, facing one-another with a conveniently placed side table sporting a pretty table cloth for drinks.

Then, scatter some brightly coloured cushions for decoration and comfort. All too often, time outside is spent on hardwood or plastic seating, comfort is key.

A painted bird cage and/or lantern in the branches of a nearby tree will add a focal point to your garden and create the feeling of a magical space. Follow this theme by adding an ornate mirror to give the illusion of a secret garden.

When serving drinks, cake or sandwiches utilise a large tray filled with colourful decanters and dinner wear which will all keep to the theme of your beautiful outside design.
