Brighten up your summer – with inspiration from our new Summer Living video

Summer should be about colour everywhere – bright splashes of it in our gardens, in the fields, in the blue of the sky and the white puffs of clouds. When the summer fails to deliver, that’s all the more reason to bring plenty of colour into our homes to lift our moods and cheer up even the greyest day.

Colour’s very close to my heart – when I’m on the lookout for new products to stock at Something Different, colour is always what catches my eye. I find that I’m happiest when I have colour in my life – whether it’s a key piece that injects a flash of brightness or a kaleidoscope effect where the more colours you add, the better it works!

Seeing possibilities for how the different colours might work in your home is what our newly launched Summer Living video is all about. There are suggestions for vibrant table settings and creating outdoor ‘rooms’ using our great selection of throws and cushions. There are also plenty of ideas for mixing multiple colours together to beautiful effect. Finally, just in case the weather really doesn’t play ball at all this summer, there are some wonderful examples of how vases full of faux flowers can still make life at least appear ‘summery’.
